Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. In the 1950s, she started her acting career on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. After that, she acted on Broadway in various shows until the year 1957, in which Li'l abner was big in the National Theatre. Her first album of music, It's Time For Tina that same year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden, in God's Big Acre a 1957 drama film. The film was hugely popular and Louise got the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Louise joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise had a long and successful career, balancing Broadway television and Hollywood and portraying somber, as opposed to the glamorous image that she had been portrayed as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary, although she made a mark as a successful television director with several series including Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex, Ontario on 29th August in 1965. The family moved to Toronto at the age of three. Her childhood was spent there and her adolescence. When she was selected in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived there since then.
