Silk was born Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter Peter Silk, who is an academic as well as Anna Silk who is an actor, director as well as a producer and playwright. The earliest memories of Anna included going to rehearsals and watching her mother work. Silk featured in a number of commercials when she was a kid.
